Cala Turqueta, a hidden blue paradise

Cala Turqueta, a hidden blue paradise

Considered one of Menorca's most beautiful coves, Cala Turqueta lives up to its name with brilliant turquoise waters that contrast with the white sand and surrounding pine forests. It's a pristine beach, free of buildings, that will make you feel like you're on a deserted island.

Cala Turqueta is perfect for those seeking complete disconnection and direct contact with nature. Its protected surroundings are part of a Natural Area of Special Interest, which has helped preserve its beauty over time.

Useful tips for visiting Cala Turqueta

  • 💧 There are no beach bars or bars, so bring water and food if you plan to spend the day.
  • 🧴 Protect your skin with biodegradable sunscreen and respect the natural environment.
  • 🌅 Arrive early: in summer, the parking lot fills up quickly and access is controlled.
  • 🚫 Overnight stays and fires are not permitted in the area.

How to get to Cala Turqueta

Cala Turqueta is located on the south coast of Menorca, about 10 km from Ciutadella. To get there, take the road to Macarella (ME-1 and turn off onto the Sant Joan de Missa road). Halfway along, you'll see the signposted detour to Cala Turqueta. There's free parking about a 10-15 minute walk from the beach.

You can also get there by bike or on foot from other nearby coves such as Macarella or Cala Galdana, via the Camí de Cavalls , enjoying a pleasant walk through the Mediterranean forest.
