Cala Turqueta, a hidden blue paradise

Cala Turqueta, a hidden blue paradise

Considered one of the most beautiful coves in Menorca, Cala Turqueta lives up to its name with bright turquoise waters that contrast with the white sand and pine forests that surround it. It is a virgin beach, without constructions, that will make you feel in a deserted island.

Cala Turqueta is perfect for those seeking total disconnection and direct contact with nature. Its environment is protected and is part of the Natural Area of Special Interest, which has helped to preserve its beauty intact over time.

Useful tips to visit Cala Turqueta

  • 💧 There are no beach bars or bars, so bring water and food if you plan to spend the day.
  • 🧴 Protect your skin with biodegradable sunscreen and respect the natural environment.
  • 🌅 Arrive early: in summer the parking lot fills up quickly and access is controlled.
  • 🚫 Overnight stays and fires are not allowed in the area.

How to get to Cala Turqueta

Cala Turqueta is located on the south coast of Menorca, about 10 km from Ciutadella. To get there, you must take the road to Macarella (ME-1 and detour on the road to Sant Joan de Missa). Halfway you will see the detour signposted to Cala Turqueta. There is a free parking about 10-15 minutes walk from the beach.

You can also get there by bike or on foot from other nearby coves such as Macarella or Cala Galdana, through the Camí de Cavalls, enjoying a pleasant walk through the Mediterranean forest.
