One week in Menorca, is it enough?
If your idea is to take a 7-day trip to Menorca I assure you that you have more than enough time to see the most beautiful places on the island. However, don't be fooled because although the island is tiny, it barely has 53 kilometers from tip to tip, you have to organize the visits a little bit, because the island has a lot to see!
DAY 1 – South coves + Artrutx Lighthouse
Morning:
Start early at Cala Turqueta to avoid parking problems. From there, take a walking route along the Camí de Cavalls to Cala des Talaier (about 45 min). Bring suitable sneakers, water and snacks.
Afternoon:
Go back to the parking lot and drive to Cala Macarella and Macarelleta (about 30 min). Enjoy its turquoise waters and unique landscapes.
Before sunset, drive to the Artrutx Lighthouse (35 min) to see a spectacular sunset.
Evening:
Return to your accommodation and have dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Day successfully completed!
DAY 2 – Virgin beaches and hiking
Morning:
Start the day at Cala Mitjana, one of the most accessible and beautiful on the island. From there, follow a hiking route to discover three hidden gems: Trebalúger, Fustam and Escorxada. Perfect for lovers of tranquility and snorkeling.
Afternoon:
Return to Cala Mitjana to rest and enjoy the surroundings before returning to the accommodation.
Evening:
End the day with a dinner at one of the restaurants in the Cala Galdana area if you want to have dinner near a beach with more action or in Ferreries, a charming town in the heart of Menorca.
It is important that you have it super clear that you have to make this itinerary 100% flexible. And why do I tell you this? Well, because of the winds. If you have a day with a lot of wind from the north, the plan is great for the south and if there is a lot of wind from the south, you will see the paradisiacal coves with waves, little transparency… and it is not the same. In that case, make a north plan.
DAY 3 – Ciutadella and northern coves
Morning:
Spend the morning exploring Ciutadella, walking through its historic center, cobbled streets, charming squares and the lively local market.
Afternoon:
Head north to discover Cala Morell, with its unique rocky landscape, and the quiet coves of Algaiarens (La Vall), perfect for relaxing and taking a good swim.
Evening:
Enjoy a dinner in the port of Ciutadella, with a cozy atmosphere and many options to try local cuisine.
DAY 4 – Boat trip and Fornells
Morning:
Embark on a boat trip from Fornells to discover some of the most spectacular coves in the north such as Cavalleria and Cala Pregonda. Ideal for swimming and relaxing in unique corners.
Afternoon:
Walk through the quiet area of Playas de Fornells, a picturesque town with a beauty that will leave you in love, perfect for disconnecting by the sea.
Evening:
Head to the charming town of Es Mercadal and enjoy a dinner with local flavor in one of its cozy restaurants. We give you 3 valid options: Ca n'Olga, The Tapas Gastro Bar or Es Tast.
DAY 5 – Son Bou and unlicensed boat
Morning:
Start the day relaxing at Son Bou beach, one of the longest in Menorca, famous for its golden sand and crystal clear waters. Ideal for a morning swim or taking a walk along its coast.
Afternoon:
Rent an unlicensed boat at the same Son Bou beach and sail at your own pace. You will be able to explore the coast from the water and reach Cala en Porter, known for its impressive cliff and the Cueva d’en Xoroi, a natural bar in the rock with spectacular views.
Evening:
Walk through the narrow streets of Binibeca Vell, a charming fishing village with traditional style white houses and a picturesque atmosphere.

DAY 6 – Albufera d'es Grau and adventure at sea
Morning:

Evening:
